clinical trials
The Innovation Center at Kettering Health Network conducts both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies. The experienced staff of researchers includes investigators, research coordinators, a grants administrator and a regulatory specialist. This team works together to conduct a wide range of clinical studies that support scientific inquiry in drug and device development, as well as best practices in delivering patient care.
The Innovation Center's wide range of experience encompasses Phase I-IV studies, PMA and 510K submissions with various industry sponsors focusing on:
- Cardiovascular disease
- Endovascular disease
- Neurological disorders including borderline personality and schizophrenia
- Women's health
- Oncology
- PET imaging
- Chronic diseases
- Critical care studies
- Orthopedic disease
Our affiliation with the Dayton Clinical Oncology Program provides access to over 70 clinical trials that are open to patients in greater Dayton facing the challenges of a cancer diagnosis and seeking out the best treatment options.
Investigator-initiated studies conducted by physicians, medical students, nurses and allied health professionals contribute to evidenced-based practice within the Kettering Health Network, thus improving health care for the people in the communities we serve.
Our associations with both a local and independent IRB (Copernicus Group IRB) provide thorough, timely review of protocols and ensure the rights and safety of research participants. The number and complexity of clinical trials conducted through the Innovation Center at Kettering Health Network demonstrates the collaborative support we provide to researchers. This is truly unique among community hospitals in the area and nationally.
