The Innovation Center provides MR acquisition and image processing services to researchers in the Dayton and Cincinnati areas. Because we are a dedicated research center, we can offer research companies higher throughput and more specialized protocols than clinically-oriented sites. In addition, because we are part of a community-based health care network and located on the campus of a major medical facility, we are able to facilitate access to study populations in an environment that is familiar and convenient for subjects. MRI Acquisition Services

Image acquisition services are performed primarily on a Siemens MAGNETOM Avanto (18-channel) 1.5 T MR scanner, with a full suite of functional MRI equipment, as well as anatomical, angiography, spectroscopy, diffusion, and diffusion tensor imaging. We also offer on-site physics services to aid in the development of optimal imaging sequences, as well as pulse programming consultation and development.

Image Processing Services

Our Image Processing Laboratory has imaging scientists with a combined 20+ years of experience in image processing for research studies. We have two clusters for data analysis and simulation, each with 8 processors and 32 gigabytes of RAM, running both Windows and Linux operating systems. We also have an array of workstations with the most up-to-date image processing and visualization software, and advanced compilers for code optimization.
